The Ibiza Town Hall continues to make progress in the improvement of the urban road surface and this Thursday, December 4, will begin the resurfacing works in sa Llavanera street. The action is part of the Plan de Reasfaltados 2025, which has partial funding from Plan 5 of the Consell Insular de Ibiza, and maintains its active calendar with different simultaneous interventions in the capital.
In addition to sa Llavanera, improvement works are still underway on paseo Juan Carlos I and calle Ceramista Joan Daifa, roads where the pavement is being renewed to improve circulation and safety for vehicles and pedestrians.
The municipal asphalt plan was reactivated on September 3 with the aim of updating the condition of the city’s streets and improving road safety. The first interventions were carried out on the Vía Púnica, where work began on September 3 at the height of Joan Xicó, and on the Vía Romana, whose first sections were asphalted from September 8. Subsequently, the work continued on this same road until the planned sections were completed.
The third deputy mayor and councilor of Works, Blanca Hernández, stressed that this set of actions is helping to improve safety and accessibility in the city. She also explained that all the works have been planned to minimize their impact on traffic, with signposted detours and prior warnings for drivers.
