The third edition of the Educational Guidance Fair Orienta-Torganized by the Youth Department of the Consell de Ibiza, returns on February 19, 20 and 21 with the aim of offering young people a guide to their academic and professional future.
The event will be held at the Ibiza Fairgrounds and will bring together a wide range of vocational training, university studies and other educational and employment opportunities.
A space to choose one’s academic future
The fair is aimed primarily at students in the 4th year of ESO, 1st and 2nd year of Bachillerato of the island’s schools. As explained by the Councilor for Youth, Marilina Ribas, “in a single space, students can learn about all the options available on the island and beyond, from vocational training to university studies, through outings in the Security Forces or complementary studies”.
In this edition, it is expected to exceed the figure of 4,000 visitors reached last year, consolidating itself as the largest educational guidance event in Ibiza. For this, the fair will have 48 stands, distributed in 18 spaces dedicated to vocational training families taught on the island, 18 on higher education and universities -including centers outside Ibiza-, eight areas of complementary services and four for the Security Forces and Corps.
Talks, workshops and complementary activities
In addition to the information at the exhibitors, Orienta-T will offer more than 20 informative talks and nearly 20 practical workshops for attendees. Special activities such as a catwalk and a concert are also scheduled to complement the experience of young people attending the fair.
Councilor Ribas stressed the relevance of this event for students, noting that “they are at a key moment in their lives, when they must make decisions about their educational future. From the Consell de Ibiza we want to reinforce our commitment to youth, helping them to choose the path that best suits their career aspirations”. She also thanked the collaboration of the vocational training families and the Territorial Directorate of Education in the organization of the event.
