The Ibiza Town Hall has suspended all outdoor Christmas activities scheduled for this Monday afternoon, due to heavy rains, as communicated by the Consistory through its official channels. “For meteorological reasons all outdoor Christmas activities are suspended until further notice,” it was announced.
Although the municipal notice affects several activities planned for Monday, the City Council itself has announced its schedule for tomorrow.
The City Council has asked the public to understand the inconvenience caused and has insisted that any news about the resumption of the events will be communicated through the official channels of the Consistory and the organizing areas.
Activities suspended this Monday, December 22, starting at 1:00 p.m.
The notice of the City Council of Ibiza involves the suspension of all outdoor Christmas activities scheduled for the afternoon of Monday December 22, including those scheduled within Eivissa Ciutat del Nadal 2025. Specifically, proposals such as the opening of the Santa Claus booth on Paseo de Vara de Rey, children’s attractions and bouncy castles, the photo booth and Christmas photocall, children’s creative workshops, as well as the gastronomic market and musical performances and animations planned in outdoor spaces are canceled from noon.
The suspension also affects any other outdoor festive event planned for Monday afternoon, regardless of its format, as long as the adverse weather conditions persist.
What activities will continue in the coming days
For the moment, the City Council maintains the program announced from Tuesday December 23, weather permitting. Among the planned events that remain in place are the parade of Santa Claus and his retinue through the center of Ibiza on December 23 and 24, the lliurament of letters to Santa Claus in the booth of the Paseo de Vara de Rey, as well as other family activities and Christmas entertainment included in the municipal program.
Likewise, the events planned in closed spaces, such as the Christmas concert on December 28 at the Can Ventosa Auditorium, and other indoor cultural events, will not be affected. The Consistory has indicated that any change or new suspension will be communicated through its official channels.
