Christmas in the Balearic Islands will be conditioned by unstable weather, with a predominance of rain and cold temperatures, as a result of the passage of several Atlantic squalls and fronts that will enter the Peninsula and could end up affecting the archipelago.
This was stated by the delegate of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) in the Balearic Islands, Maria Jose Guerrero, in statements to Europa Press, which has advanced that the week between 22 and 28 December will be marked, in general terms, by rainfall and a drop in temperature.
Guerrero has specified that this scenario does not imply that it will rain continuously every day, although it is expected that rainfall is above the usual for this time of year. “This does not mean that it will rain every day, but it does mean that the rainfall balance will be above average,” he explained.
Given this forecast, and especially in view of the celebrations of Christmas Eve, Christmas and Second Holiday, the delegate of the Aemet has recommended the population not to forget the coat and umbrella if you plan to go out to enjoy the holidays.
The weather, therefore, will invite to take extreme precautions and plan Christmas activities taking into account the possible weather instability, which could accompany the archipelago for much of the holidays.
