The Santa Eulària City Council has added 12 new temporary workers to its staff as part of the program SOIB Reactiva 2024an initiative that seeks to promote the labor insertion of unemployed people and improve their professional experience.

Reinforcement in different departments

The new employees joined the company on February 11 and will perform their duties in different areas of the council for the next nine months.

Specifically, the program has enabled the hiring of six maintenance workers, a janitor, three administrative assistants and two cleaning workers, who will be distributed in the departments of General Services, Cleaning, Occupation and Training, Social Services and Commerce.

This employment plan has two lines of action. The first is aimed at unemployed young people between 16 and 30 years of age, registered in the Youth Guarantee program and with compulsory basic education.

The second, on the other hand, focuses on people over 30 years of age, prioritizing those who have been unemployed for a long period of time, with the aim of enabling them to acquire experience and keep their professional skills active to facilitate their reintegration into the labor market.

A project with European backing

The SOIB Reactiva 2024 program is promoted by the Balearic Islands Employment Service (SOIB) and is financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).

The execution of the project in Santa Eulària has a total budget of 278,115.56 euros, of which 202,072.26 euros have been contributed by the SOIB, while the rest is borne by the City Council.
