The City Council of Sant Josep de Sa Talaia has communicated with deep regret the death of Pere Ribas Planells, who was deputy mayor and councilman of the municipality for several terms, becoming a key figure in the political and social life of the town.
The mayor, Vicente Roig, and the entire municipal corporation have expressed their condolences to the family, friends and all the people who shared his work, career and public commitment. Ribas Planells dedicated a good part of his life to the service of Sant Josep, standing out for his close attitude , dialoguing and deeply linked to the welfare of the municipality and its neighbors.
His work at the head of areas such as Public Roads and Works left tangible and widely recognized improvements, reflecting a way of doing politics based on responsibility, perseverance and the desire to improve the day-to-day life of citizens.
“San José loses today a public servant who is part of our recent history,” says the statement released by the City Council, which is grateful for the dedication and effort he offered for so many years. The institution also sends a message of solidarity and affection to his family and party colleagues.
