The City Council of Sant Josep de sa Talaia has presented this Thursday, November 20, at the historic estate of Can Sergent, the official video of ‘Sa cançó de Sant Josep’. The song, composed and performed by the Josepina artist
A living portrait of Josephine identity
The new video clip highlights the value of local customs, the rural environment and family life, elements that Reya brings together in a song that connects directly with the essence of the municipality. The piece, released today, offers images that evoke everyday life, nature, traditional architecture and the connection with the community, all under the prism of a close and luminous story.
The mayor, Vicent Roig, stressed that the project “wanted to reflect everything that a family visiting Sant Josep can experience: a typical Ibizan house, rural environments, traditions and our way of understanding life”. He also emphasized that it is a work “with a Josepí spirit, since all the people who have collaborated are from the village”.
Roig also recalled that the potential of the municipality “goes beyond the tourism industry”, highlighting that Sant Josep offers options “for families, sportsmen, lovers of nightlife, gastronomy or tranquility”. “Sant Josep is full of life 365 days a year and has a clear vocation to share who we are with those who visit us,” he added.
A video clip that shows daily life in Sant Josep
The coordinator of Tourism, Eva Ruiz, explained that the aim of the video clip is “to show the true essence of Sant Josep and promote environments that are not normally so well known: the rural landscape, villages, fields and traditional architecture”.
In the video, Reya stars in a day that passes between a day at the beach, meetings with friends, music and intimate moments with the landscape, through scenes that convey naturalness and closeness. The narrative incorporates a symbolic wink to those who are no longer with us, represented by stars, a tribute to the traditions and collective memory that is still alive in the municipality.
For Reya, this creation has meant “a return to my childhood and my roots. Living abroad, you value much more what you have experienced here: the landscapes, the culture and the values of your land”.
The project has been produced by Tupra Film Service SL and has counted with the participation of the Cor de Sant Josep, local designers Vintage Ibiza, the artisan Toni Bonet and many neighbors and young people of the municipality. The video can already be seen in the official networks of the City Council and downloaded at santjosep.net.
Can Sergent, scenery and heritage treasure
The presentation took place in Can Sergent, one of the most emblematic estates of Sant Josep, accompanied by its owner, Pep Palau. The house, with more than four centuries of history, retains its original structure and traditional building materials. Even before the church of Sant Josep was built, religious events were held on this estate, which makes it a key area of local heritage.
