Santa Eulària des Riu will host on December 23 an intense day of training and sport on the occasion of Handball Day, which will officially present the Paulina Buforn Association, driven by leaders of this sport on the island. The event, aimed at young people between 8 and 16 years old, will take place at the indoor courts of the sports center of es Puig d’en Valls, between 9:30 and 19:30.
Training, lectures and educational matches
Throughout the day, participants will receive tactical and technical training given by top professionals, including Paulina Pérez Buforn, player of Club Balonmano Porriño and first Balearic player to play a World Cup (2023) and a European Championship (2024) with the Spanish women’s national team. She will be accompanied by Daniel Jorge Broto Lacambra and Aitana Santomé Santos, also outstanding figures of Balearic handball.
The activity will include educational talks, training sessions and dynamic games designed to reinforce individual technique and collective tactics, while encouraging teamwork.
Registration until December 15
Registrations, at a cost of 24 euros, can be made until December 15 through the association’s Instagram profile (@asoc.buforn), where you can also indicate the level of the player by category.
During the event, food and drinks will be offered to participants, in addition to raffles of t-shirts and other surprises. The aim of the Paulina Buforn Association is to consolidate itself as a meeting place for young handball lovers in Ibiza.

The initiative is supported by the Santa Eulària des Riu City Council, the Balearic Handball Federation, the local company Forn de Can Bufí and the sports brand Hummel, thus consolidating a public-private partnership in favor of grassroots sport.
