Santa Eulària prepares to live this Wednesday February 12 its Big Day within the festivities of the municipality.
The day will feature a full program of activities that fuses tradition with culture and entertainment for all ages.
The activities
The day will begin with the ringing of bells, a symbol that will mark the beginning of the celebration.
This will be followed by the solemn mass in honor of Santa Eulària, which will take place in the emblematic Puig de Missa, the religious and cultural heart of the municipality. After the ceremony, the traditional procession will take place, where attendees can accompany the image of the saint in a journey full of symbolism and devotion.
Folklore will also play a key role in the morning with the performance of the group Colla des Broll, which will offer an exhibition of ball pagès, one of the most deeply rooted traditions in the Ibizan culture.
Music and theater to continue the celebration
Music will be another of the great protagonists of the Big Day of Santa Eulària. After the religious acts, the Passeig de s’Alamera will become the epicenter of the celebration with the live performance of James Band, which will offer a varied repertoire to liven up the day and put the rhythm to the festivity.
In the afternoon, attendees will have two cultural options to continue the celebration. At the Teatro España, the theater group Es Cubells will perform the play ‘Can Consistori’, a proposal that promises entertainment and humor.
For those who prefer music, the groups Vudú Delta and Billy Flamingos will offer a concert from 8:30 p.m. on Passeig de s’Alamera, closing the Big Day with a golden brooch of sound.
