Santa Eulària has taken a step forward in solidarity with those affected by the DANA in the province of Valencia. The City Council has announced the setting up, this Monday from 10 am to 2 pm, of a collection point in front of the Town Hall to receive donations of food, clothing and other basic items destined for the areas hardest hit by heavy rains and floods of water. Among the items requested for this solidarity operation are basic necessities such as water, milk, prepared canned food and baby food. In addition, the demand for flashlights and batteries is particularly urgent to ensure safety in areas where power has not yet been restored. The authorities have requested that clothing be delivered sorted into bags according to gender and size to facilitate distribution.
Collaboration
The relief day organized in Santa Eulària will also count with the collaboration of the Colla de l’Horta, which during its anniversary celebration this weekend has decided to allocate its charitable activities to raise funds for the victims. “As a sign of respect, the ball pagès was cancelled, but the children’s workshops and the sale of fried food were maintained, with the aim of helping those who have been hit by this tragedy,” said the Consistory. Punky Trans, a local transport company, has joined the initiative, providing logistics to take the donations to their destination. With this gesture, the City Council and the community of Santa Eulària show their support to Valencia in a critical moment, providing urgent help to the affected families and highlighting the island’s solidarity in emergency situations.
