The City Council of Santa Eulària has announced the deployment of aid for those affected by the DANA in the Valencian Community. This Thursday, November 7, four Civil Protection volunteers will leave for the region on a Baleària ferry, which has provided free transportation for the team and two vehicles loaded with essential material. The operation has the collaboration of the Directorate General of Emergencies of the Balearic Government and marks the beginning of a rotation that will continue according to the needs in the area.
Support material and equipment for emergencies
The Civil Protection delegation carries a pick-up truck and a logistics van loaded with specialized emergency materials. The equipment includes motor pumps, a generator, meters of hoses of various thicknesses, chainsaws, flashlights and personal protection kits (overalls, boots, goggles, cut-resistant gloves and masks) necessary for work in difficult conditions. The convoy also carries FFP2 masks and hydroalcoholic gel to be distributed among the population to prevent diseases caused by stagnant water and the accumulation of debris.
Coordination and commitment to the emergency
This operation is under the coordination of the General Directorate of Emergencies, which will supervise the stay of the volunteers and manage the priorities together with the Valencian authorities. The first rotation of volunteers will be in the area for five days, and the Consistory has reaffirmed its commitment to continue helping according to the needs that arise in Valencia, thus demonstrating its solidarity in a critical situation.
