La SD Ibiza earned a very important point this Sunday from its visit to UE Olot, after a 1-1 draw in the 22nd round of the Segunda RFEF.
The Ibizans came to this game with many needs, they were facing a direct rival in the fight for permanence and knew that any result other than a defeat was positive.
Olot’s first half
From the first minutes it was clear that it was going to be a very even game from all aspects of the game, with both teams showing similar rhythms.
After several minutes, Olot were able to start capitalizing on their knowledge of the pitch and had a few chances to score.
However, the first goal was a long time coming and arrived in the 44th minute, when Chema Moreno was able to convert a penalty and allowed his team to go into the half-time break with the lead.

After the break, SD Ibiza came out determined to find the equalizer and that was noticeable in the pace of the game.
However, the locals did not let themselves be easily beaten and, with a good defense, kept their goal from falling for a long time.
Despite Olot’s attempts to take care of the result, Diego Jimenez connected after a good cross from Marcos to make it 1-1.
After this goal, the game became even again, there was no time for anything else and the match ended in a draw.

With this result, SD Ibiza falls to 13th place, avoiding the red zone, but in promotion positions. In the next matchday they will face UD Alzira.
