Spotify officially opened the season of summaries with the launch of Wrapped 2025, the long-awaited annual compilation that shows what and how each user listened to music during the last twelve months.
The new edition, available as of December 3, comes with more customization options and renewed metrics that delve deeper into music consumption habits.
The platform claims that this version is “bigger and more revealing,” with new features that allow you to better understand which artists dominated the global charts and how listeners’ tastes evolved around the world.
What’s new in Spotify Wrapped 2025
Wrapped 2025 incorporates a set of tools designed to offer a more complete look at the musical behavior of each user. Among the main additions is Sound Age, an indicator that compares the listener’s tastes with those of his or her generation and analyzes the release period of the songs he or she played the most.
This year also sees the debut of the Top Albums category, which ranks the albums that marked each person’s year, and Top Audiobook, which identifies which narrative genre was most consumed and which title was most frequently listened to.
Spotify also added personalized messages from writers and creators, and expanded the already known greetings from artists to the fans who listened to them the most. For those who closely follow the career of a particular musician, there is Fan Leaderboard, a global ranking that measures the level of dedication of each listener compared to other followers of the same artist.
Another outstanding feature is Clubs, which divides users into six different listening profiles, according to their musical habits. In addition, classic tools are back with improvements, such as Top Genres and the most played songs playlist, which specifies how many times each of the 100 favorite songs of the year were listened to.
Wrapped 2025 also integrates Listening Archive, an AI-powered archive that identifies the most significant listening days of the year, and Wrapped Party, an interactive activity to compete with friends by comparing playback data.
