As 2025 draws to a close, Spotify is back at the center of the digital conversation thanks to its traditional annual recap. The popular Spotify Wrapped, which reveals each user’s listening habits throughout the year, is set to return with a new edition that will once again flood social networks with personalized stats, playlists and ready-to-share charts.
Since its appearance, Wrapped has established itself as one of the most influential features of the platform, capable of generating millions of interactions and becoming, every December, a global phenomenon. For many, it is the moment that confirms which was their artist of the year, which genres dominated their playlists and whether their music consumption matches that of their friends or followers.
When will Spotify Wrapped 2025 be available?
Fast Company noted that there is already a preparatory page anticipating the 2025 edition, anticipating the idea that Wrapped will be launched in the next few days. In addition, looking back at previous years, all indications are that the launch is usually concentrated between the end of November and the first week of December.
For its part, The Columbus Dispatch recalled that the service usually activates Wrapped within that same time interval and historically avoids unveiling it on weekends, leaving this week as the most likely window.

Another key piece of information comes from Official Charts, which noted that Wrapped 2024 was activated on December 4 due to the additional time it took Spotify to process the enormous amount of data generated by its users: more than 713 million worldwide.
To get a sense of the impact, last year 245 million users interacted with its statistics and shared its Wrapped cards more than 400 million times, a dynamic that turned the launch into a spontaneous global outreach campaign.
At the same time, a common myth is debunked: according to The Columbus Dispatch, Spotify does not stop collecting data on Halloween, as is commonly believed. In fact, in 2024 the deadline was extended to November 20.
How to access Spotify Wrapped and why it remains a viral phenomenon
Wrapped was born in 2015 under the name “Year in Music”, although its current format (colorful, personalized and designed for networks) was consolidated in 2016. Since then, it has become one of the most influential digital events of the year.
According to Fast Company, the key to its success lies in its enormous capacity to generate online conversation: each card shared acts as organic advertising for the platform.
