The City Council of Ibiza has reported that a breakdown in the heat pumps of the Municipal Swimming Pool of Es Viver has caused a significant drop in both the ambient temperature and the water, which has forced to temporarily suspend some activities.
As explained by the Consistory, the ambient temperature of the enclosure is several degrees below normal, while the water is between four and six degrees below normal. In view of this situation, and for safety and welfare reasons, yesterday were suspended all activities of children’s educational groups.
The City Council has regretted the inconvenience that this incident may cause to users and has assured that the technical services are already working to solve the problem “as soon as possible” and restore normal activity in the municipal facilities.
In the meantime, users will be informed of any new developments related to the evolution of the failure and the resumption of suspended activities.
