The bishop of Ibiza, Monsignor Vicent Ribas, has made public this Friday a series of new appointments that affect different parishes of Ibiza and Formentera. The changes, communicated during the morning, involve relays in several parishes and pastoral responsibilities.
José Martínez Franco, who has been appointed the new pastor of San Antonio. Martínez Franco is stepping down as pastor of Nuestra Señora de Jesús, although he will continue as pastor of the parish of San Pedro.
Fernando Jesús Bayón Plaza has been appointed parish priest of Nuestra Señora de Jesús. With this appointment, he leaves his previous responsibilities as pastor of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, San Francisco Javier and San Fernando de Formentera, as well as the position of archpriest of Formentera.
Reverend Florentino Copete Novoa now assumes the parish of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, San Francisco Javier and San Fernando de Formentera, a position he held until now as parochial vicar. He has also been appointed the new archpriest of Formentera.
Fabián Andrés Rodríguez Bonilla has been appointed parochial vicar of Santa Cruz, leaving his previous assignment as parochial vicar of Santa Eulalia and San Carlos. Luis Abrahan Sarmiento Moreno has been appointed parochial vicar of Santa Eulalia and San Carlos, leaving his previous position as parochial vicar of Santa Cruz.
Ramón Huedo Sáez is stepping down as parochial vicar of Nuestra Señora de Jesús, although he will continue to carry out his pastoral work as parochial vicar of San Pedro.
Finally, the new priest Juan Carlos Rubertiello Marrero has been appointed parochial vicar of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, San Francisco Javier and San Fernando de Formentera, thus joining the pastoral team of the island.
