A video posted by the user Ibiza Report on the social network X (formerly Twitter) has generated great repercussion by denouncing the existence of alleged clandestine “after parties” in Ibiza where, according to his testimony, there are situations of extreme vulnerability for young women. The content creator claims to have received the story of a girl who, allegedly, had been drugged at one of these parties, although she did not file a complaint because she was traveling the next day.
The video, which combines archival footage of parties in villas and clubs on the island, seeks – according to Ibiza Report – to dismantle the idea that all “afters” in Ibiza are exclusive and safe encounters. “After parties in Ibiza are not always what they seem… This is the dark side of Ibiza that nobody talks about,” he points out in the narration.
Consulted by this newspaper, Ibiza Report explained that he did not want to reveal the identity of the young woman: “I don’t have her contact and I don’t think she wants to talk about it either, that’s why I don’t mention her directly. Unfortunately she had a flight the next day and could not go to the Guardia Civil. I would like to talk about this because there are a lot of people denying what happened on Instagram.”
Warning about unofficial holidays
In the video, the content creator insists that most legitimate private parties are exclusive events organized by artists or very small groups of friends, and that it is unusual for strangers to be invited. He especially warns young women, who are advised to refuse invitations from strangers to parties in houses far from the city center.
According to their account, some of these alleged clandestine parties would gather people recruited outside discos with promises of exclusive experiences. The content warns that, once in these houses, the attendees could be left defenseless due to the consumption of substances and the withdrawal of their cell phones.
