The Consell de Govern approved this Friday the credit recognition corresponding to the emergency works carried out in the CEIP Can Misses of Ibiza, after the serious damage caused by the DANA of September 30, 2025, which left 236 liters per square meter on the island and caused flooding in various educational infrastructures of the Pitiusas.
As explained by the spokesman of the autonomous Executive, Antoni Costa, at a press conference, the intervention was processed by the Territorial Directorate of Education of Ibiza and Formentera and aimed to ensure the safety of the building and allow the resumption of teaching activity in the shortest possible time. The actions were mainly focused on the center’s storage room and the second floor roof.
The CEIP Can Misses had to close temporarily from October 1 to 3 to undertake these repairs, given the magnitude of the damage. The work was carried out under emergency conditions, in accordance with the procedures foreseen for situations of risk to persons or public property.
The Councilor for Education and Universities, Antoni Vera, visited the most affected centers on October 1, just one day after the torrential rains, to assess in situ the damage and coordinate the urgent intervention of the technical services of his department.
