The National Police has presented to the Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises of Ibiza and Formentera(Pimeef) the operational device planned for the Christmas campaign, which will run during the months of December and January. The aim of the plan is to ensure that shopping, activities and events of these dates are developed normally and in a safe environment for both citizens and merchants.
The device will be deployed in the main commercial areas of the center of Ibiza and will have the collaboration of the Local Police. During the meeting, held at the National Police Station of Ibiza, the agents detailed the characteristics of the campaign and explained the preventive actions that will be carried out throughout the Christmas period.
The meeting also saw the presentation of the secure commerce guide, a document containing practical information and recommendations for companies to prevent crime and improve security in their establishments. It was also agreed to inform businessmen about the different methods of fraud of which they can be victims, so that they can detect and prevent them in advance.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner Manuel Hernández, the inspector of the Ibiza Citizen Security Brigade, José Antonio Pacheco, and representatives of the Citizen Participation unit, as well as the vice president of Pimeef, Consuelo Antúnez; the vice president Daniel Ramón; the coordinator Antoni Bonet, and the technician Vicente Tur.
