The PP deputies have made a mistake and have approved by mistake this Tuesday in the Parliament some political proposals of Vox, such as eliminating the requirement of Catalan in the Civil Service and in the education system or allowing construction in natural areas of special interest (ANEI). These and other initiatives were included in a package of amendments defended by Vox on the occasion of the debate and approval this Tuesday of the Administrative Simplification Law. By mistake, the deputy spokeswoman Marga Durán has confused the deputies of her group and all have ended up voting with Vox, for which the deputy has apologized. Durán then asked the Vox group to repeat the vote, but Santiago Abascal’s party refused to do so. At the end of the plenary session, the spokesman of the Govern, Antoni Costa, announced that the Govern will rectify this error with the approval of a decree law so that the referred amendments do not enter into force. After the plenary session, the opposition parties(Psib, Més and Podemos) have demanded an urgent meeting with the president of the Govern, Marga Prohens, in view of an“unprecedented legal mess“. The spokesman of Més per Mallorca, Lluís Apesteguia, has criticized how “stupid they are” (in the PP), who “are incapable of moving forward a vote”. What has happened this Tuesday is a “legislative catastrophe” that had never happened before in the history of the autonomous community, he summarized.
