La SD Ibiza has made official the return of Juan Delgado, a striker from Alicante with extensive experience in Spanish soccer, who arrives on a free transfer from Águila FC. Delgado is no stranger to the Ibizan fans; he already defended the club’s colors in the 2021/2022 season, where he stood out as a key player by scoring 17 goals in 34 games.
A long awaited return
Delgado, trained in the youth categories of clubs such as Valencia, Celta Vigo and Levante, has accumulated a solid career in national soccer. With experience in teams like Hercules, Barakaldo, Sabadell and Olot, among others, he has played 173 games in the former Second Division B, 45 in First Federation and 58 in Second Federation. The club is confident that his return will bring with it the goalscoring instinct that he already showed in his previous stage. “He is a player who knows the island and has the experience and talent necessary to make a difference in our offensive line,” said the SD Ibiza sports management.
A key reinforcement for the attack
With this signing, SD Ibiza seeks to make a leap in quality in its attack and consolidate a strategy that will allow it to compete with more guarantees in this second part of the season. The incorporation of Delgado is a commitment to experience and efficiency, elements that will be vital to achieve the team’s goals.
