The parades of the Three Wise Men will once again fill the streets of Ibiza and Formentera with light, expectation and illusion in one of the most anticipated nights for families. After the experience of 2025, the retinues of Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar return with a full schedule of events, starting with a special visit to the children admitted to the hospital and continuing with the traditional parades and meetings in different parts of both islands.
Three Wise Men in Ibiza
January 5 is the appointed date in the capital, where the Three Wise Men will start their tour of the island. Although January 5 is the traditional date, due to the forecast of rain, the arrival of the Three Wise Men to the port of Ibiza and the parade will be brought forward to Saturday January 4 from 18.00 hours, while on Monday there will be a reception with Their Majesties in the tent of Vara de Rey.
The route will pass through Avinguda de Santa Eulàriades Riu, Avinguda de Bartomeu de Rosselló, Avinguda d’Isidor Macabich, Carrer de País Valencià, Avinguda d’Espanya, and finally Vara de Rey, where they will go to the Christmas tent to greet the children and collect the last letters.
The procession will consist of 4 fantasy floats, Swan, Royal Postman, Train of gifts and the Punic ship of the God Bes, in addition to the 3 Magi, Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar. A total of 3,000Kg of candies will be distributed during the route.
So that everyone can enjoy the show, this year there will be reserved areas for the elderly and people with reduced mobility. In addition, attendees with acoustic hypersensitivity will have access to anti-noise helmets, an initiative designed to ensure that no one is left out of the festive experience for sensory reasons.
Three Kings Parade in Santa Eulària
The afternoon of January 5 will be especially active in the municipality of Santa Eulària and its surroundings. The tour will begin in Sant Carles, where the Kings will be received at 17:00 hours. Then, the procession will move to Santa Eulària, with arrival expected at 18:30, to walk through the main streets to Plaza España, where the parade will culminate with the delivery of gifts.
The agenda continues with a royal reception in Santa Gertrudis at 19:30, a meeting point for families wishing to share this tradition. On January 6 will be the turn of other nuclei such as Puig d’en Valls and Jesus, thus completing an extensive calendar of activities in this area of the island.
Sant Antoni: illusion at dusk
In Sant Antoni, the parade of the Three Kings will also be held on January 5, with departure scheduled from 18:30 hours through the main streets of the town center. As every year, the expectation and joy of children and adults is expected at the passage of Their Majesties, who repeat in this town their traditional walk full of magic and illusion.
The King and Queen of Spain will tour Sant Josep
The itinerary in Sant Josep will be especially complete. On January 5, the Kings will begin their journey in Cala de Bou, where part of the procession will be concentrated before heading to the Caló de s’Oli auditorium. From there, the procession will continue its festive journey to Sant Agustí and then to Sant Jordi, carrying carols and excitement along the way.
The activity in Sant Josep does not end that same day. On January 6, the visit of Their Majesties will come to es Cubells, where the parade will be set with carols performed by the local choir, a proposal that combines musical tradition and community celebration.
Kings in Sant Joan and northern areas
In the northern part of the island, the celebrations begin even before January 5. The royal pageboy will visit different localities on January 3 and 4, warming up the engines for the main parades. The parades scheduled for January 5 and 6 will go through towns such as Sant Miquel, Sant Joan and Sant Llorenç, where young and old will be able to experience one of the most emblematic and beloved traditions of the island.
Royal Cavalcade in Formentera
Not only Ibiza celebrates the arrival of the Three Kings with parades and activities. The Three Wise Men parade will also travel around Formentera in their floats, making stops in all the villages of the island to bring illusion to the people of Formentera. The itinerant format of this parade allows the inhabitants of each town to come and greet Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar, in a festive atmosphere full of excitement.
A tradition that unites generations
The arrival of the Three Wise Men on January 5 and 6 is a moment awaited by children and families, and in Ibiza and Formentera is lived with special intensity. From the visit to hospitalized children to the tours through the main streets and squares, each act is designed to keep alive the magic of these dates and transmit illusion to all ages.
