The salary conflict of the teachers of the concerted education faces its resolution. This Friday, the secretary general of FSIE Baleares, Antoni Sacarés, has ratified the agreement to recover the 2.9% salary increase that was frozen in 2020 and 2021. The decision comes after the union conducted an express consultation among its members, who overwhelmingly supported the signing of the pact.

During the negotiation, FSIE has also demanded that the salary tables be updated at the same time as in the public sector, including the retroactive payment of the 2.5% agreed for 2025 by the central government. The secretary general of the Conselleria, Bartomeu Riera, has committed to apply the increases of 2025 (2.5%) and 2026 (1.5%) to the teachers of the concerted simultaneously with the civil servants.
Finally, the Conselleria has convened for December 4 the Monitoring Committee of the Framework Agreement of the Concertada 2023-2027, where the pending commitments will be reviewed. The unions welcome this progress, but insist: the pact arrives with “reluctance” and does not solve the existing inequality between public and subsidized education.
