What’s new for the Palma Cavalcade in 2026?
One of the great novelties this year are the 22 completely new floats. Each one has been designed from scratch with Christmas motifs, lighting elements and renewed structures that seek to give a fresh and spectacular air to the parade. Only some decorative animals from the reception of the royal pages will be reused, preserving part of the tradition.
In addition to the aesthetic renovation, all the logistics of the event have been reinforced. The City Council has announced improvements in lighting, technical fencing and control points, in order to ensure a safer and more orderly experience in the face of the high influx of people expected for that evening.
Complementary events related to the Three Wise Men
Programming is not limited to the January 5 parade. The calendar of festive activities includes several parallel events to enrich the family experience. On January 3 at 11:30 am, the official arrival of the Royal Pages will take place in the Plaça de Cort, a moment full of excitement for children waiting for news from Their Majesties.
Already on January 5 at night, at 20:30 pm, will be held the Reception of the Three Kings in Cort, also in the Plaça de Cort, where an institutional reception is expected to put the finishing touch to the main parade. The following day, on January 6th, the Adoration of the Three Wise Men will take place at 11:30 am in Ses Voltes, an act that completes the celebrations and allows families to prolong these dates full of tradition and symbolism.
Practical tips to enjoy the Cavalcade
Given its success and the large attendance it usually attracts, the City Council recommends planning your attendance well in advance. One of the suggestions is to arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of the parade to ensure a good place from which to enjoy the passing of the floats. It is also advised to avoid the private vehicle, opting for public transport or travel on foot to facilitate access and mobility in the center of Palma.
It is also suggested to choose wide spots such as Passeig de Mallorca, Jaume III or Born, where in addition to seeing the parade clearly you can find more comfortable spaces for families with children and people with reduced mobility.
