The Civil Guard has arrested two men of North African origin as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with violence and intimidation and for a crime of serious injury occurred in the town of Sant Antoni de Portmany in which they came to break the legs of the victim to rob him.
As reported by the Armed Institute in a statement, the events occurred last November, when the victim, a man of North African origin, was walking in the early hours of the morning along a central street of the town, when he was surprised by four young men.
The men began to shake the victim while demanding all his belongings. Upon refusal, the assailants threw him to the ground and began to kick and punch him in order to steal what he was carrying. As a result of the aggression, the victim suffered fractured lower extremities.
The agents of the Civil Guard of San Antoni initiated an investigation and, after numerous efforts, managed to identify two of the aggressors. On Friday afternoon, the agents proceeded to their arrest, being hidden in different homes.
The investigation remains open pending the arrest of the other two participants.
