Upon arrival, Kneeland had fled the vehicle and a search operation was initiated with drones and several support units. Shortly thereafter, police received information that the player had expressed suicidal thoughts. He was eventually found dead around 1:30 a.m. with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, local authorities confirmed.
