The Local Police of Santa Eulàriahaarrested a woman for an alleged crime of attempted murder against law enforcement officers after she tried to assault them with a knife during an intervention in Cala Llonga.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning, minutes before 08:30 hours, when the command center received a call from a neighbor alerting about the presence of a woman with a knife on the outside terrace of a house located on Monte Calvario street.
Seven local police officers were called to the scene, with the collaboration of two patrols of the Civil Guard. Once in the area, the officers verified that the house showed no signs of force or forced access, and located the suspect hiding under some blankets on the communal terrace.
According to the police report, the woman ignored the officers’ orders to identify herself. At the moment when the officers removed the blankets, she pulled out a knife with a blade of about 10 centimeters and threw several thrusts in the direction of the police officers.
The agents managed to reduce and disarm her without injury. During the subsequent search, a second large butcher knife was found among his belongings.
The woman was arrested and taken to the Can Misses Health Center for a medical evaluation, after which she was taken to court.
