The Ibiza Town Hall continues to make progress in improving the condition of the streets of the city and has begun the resurfacing of Ceramista Joan Daifa street, an action financed with funds from Plan 5 of the Consell Insular de Ibiza.
These works are part of the new phase of the Municipal Resurfacing Plan, resumed on September 3 with the aim of improving road safety and renovating various roads in the municipality.
Interventions started in September in different streets of Ibiza
The first action of this phase took place on the Via Punica, where work began from the intersection with Joan Xicó on September 3. Subsequently, on September 8, work was carried out on the Roman Way, specifically on the block located next to Joan Xicó.
The resurfacing of Ceramista Joan Daifa Street is the continuation of the planned schedule for renewing the pavement at points affected by wear and tear, traffic and the passage of time.
“The objective is to improve road safety in Ibiza,” says the Consistory.
The third deputy mayor and councilor of Works of the City Council of Ibiza, Blanca Hernández, stressed that this plan is having a direct impact on improving safety.
“The Municipal Resurfacing Plan is improving road safety,” said Hernandez, who also stressed that the works have been planned to minimize the impact on traffic, applying detours and prior warnings when necessary.
