Christmas in Formentera: A month of culture, music and tradition

From December 1st to January 5th – Formentera

Formentera celebrates a Christmas full of cultural, musical and family activities promoted by the Consell Insular. From December 1, with the lighting of the lights in the Plaza de la Constitució, until the arrival of the Three Kings on January 5, the island offers concerts, workshops, cinema, gastronomy, shows and children’s spaces. Most of the events are free of charge.

Program highlights

December 1 – Plaza de la Constitució

18:00 h – Lighting of the lighting with inclusive space.

Opening of the Christmas Market and Santa’s Band concert.

Show “Encenent els somnis del Nadal”.

December 2 – Centre Antoni Tur “Gabrielet”.

12:00 h – Inauguration of the exhibition “Joan Marí Cardona: 50 anys. 100 images”.

December 8 – Sant Francesc Church

18:00 h – Performance “Camins d’història”.

December 13 – Christmas Market

From 8:00 pm – Concerts by Ritmo de Isla, The Island Rockers and DJ Manceboss.

December 16 – Espai Cultural of Sant Ferran

17:30 h – Cantam Nadales and chocolate.

Beginning of the visits of the royal pages to schools.

December 17th

The visits of the royal pages continue.

19:00 h – Christmas Concert of the Escola de Música i Dansa (Plaza de la Constitució).

21:00 h – “Deep Space Night + Planets” at Ses Eres Garden.

December 18 – Culture Hall (Cinema)

16:30 h and 18:30 h – Arrival of Santa Claus (with previous reservation). Chocolate included.

December 24th – Sant Francesc Church

Midnight – Mass of Matins and caramelles.

December 31 – Christmas Market

From 1:00 h – New Year’s Eve Party with DJ Mr. Cardona.

January 5 – All the island

Cavalcade of the Three Wise Men (schedules pending).

Diverespai: December 27 to January 4 – Sports module, with bouncy castles and activities for children.
