Illustrating marine nature at the Sant Jordi Library

Dates: Thursday, January 15 and Friday, January 16, 2026
Time: from 16:00 to 18:00 hours
Venue: Vicent Serra Orvay Library, Sant Jordi
The Vicent Serra Orvay Library of Sant Jordi organizes scientific illustration workshops taught by Iara Chapuis, biologist and scientific illustrator, aimed at young people and adults from 12 years old.
The sessions propose a creative approach to marine flora and fauna, using as inspiration natural remains collected on the coast, combining scientific dissemination and artistic practice in an accessible and participatory way. It is not necessary to have previous experience in drawing.
The workshops are free, are held on two separate dates and have 18 places per session. The paper will be provided by the organization, although participants should bring their own drawing material. To attend, prior registration is mandatory by contacting the library by email or telephone.
