Emergencies 112 has activated the yellow alert of the Meteobal Plan in Mallorca, Ibiza and Formentera due to the episode of strong winds and coastal phenomena foreseen for this Monday. The activation responds to the forecasts of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which maintains yellow warnings on the three islands between Monday and Tuesday.
As reported by Emergencies through a message on the social network X, the alerts in Menorca have been deactivated, although extreme caution is recommended in the rest of the archipelago in view of the evolution of the storm.
In Ibiza and Formentera, the yellow warning for wind will remain active between 04:00 and 23:59 hours, with gusts that can reach 70 kilometers per hour. The maritime situation will also be adverse in Mallorca, where the south and the Llevant area will activate the yellow warning for coastal phenomena from 10:00 to 23:59 hours. Gusts of 50 to 60 km / h and waves that could exceed three meters high are expected.
For Tuesday, Aemet maintains for the moment the same yellow warnings in Ibiza, Formentera and Mallorca, pending the evolution of the wind and the state of the sea during the next hours.
