The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predicts that the maritime storm that is affecting Ibiza during this week will also extend to Monday 24, day for which the yellow alert remains activated forcoastal phenomena with wind from the west of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour and force 7 at sea.
The yellow warning remains active for rough seas, with significant swell and adverse conditions for navigation and maritime activities. The Aemet warns of combined sea and strong wind on the coast, from 6 am to midnight.
The weekend
This Sunday is stable on the island, with little cloudy sky and zero probability of rain throughout the day. Temperatures will rise slightly compared to previous days, with 9 degrees minimum and 18 degrees maximum. The wind will blow lightly, with gusts of 10 to 20 kilometers per hour, from the west and southwest.
Beginning of the week
For Monday, the Aemet forecasts a moderate increase in cloudiness, with a 10% chance of rain in the morning and 25% in the afternoon. Temperatures remain mild for the season, with lows of 12 degrees and highs of 20 degrees. The wind will blow more intensely than on Sunday, with gusts reaching 35 kilometers per hour in the first half of the day and 30 kilometers per hour in the afternoon.
Maximum wind gusts
The Pitiusas have recorded wind gusts of up to 37 kilometers per hour on Saturday at the weather station at the airport of es Codolar. In Formentera, the most powerful gust has reached 36 kilometers per hour, and in Ibiza town, 31 kilometers per hour.
