Ibiza’s price craze seems to have no end.
The party that was held after the DJ Awards at the Chinois club in Ibiza last Wednesday is a new example that comes after the record set by Pacha Ibiza last weekend with tickets at 200 euros.
And the price of a glass of champagne from one of the event’s sponsoring brands reached 28 euros. This is the Champagne Christophe Prestige, a brut that in the retail market is sold for less than 20 euros, as La Voz de Ibiza has been able to verify in several specialized portals.
The gross profit of each bottle is, therefore, about 150 euros, since each bottle can be served an average of six glasses.
A margin of more than 800% per bottle.
The organization has declined to comment.
The return of the DJ Awards
The first edition of the newly revamped DJ Awards was a night of music and celebration in Chinois, Ibiza, on October 2.
Winners in several key categories were announced and BBC 1 presenters Jaguar and Katie Knight presented special industry awards to legends of the scene.
