The premiere of TE AVISÉ has catapulted Fernando Costa and Ayax to the center of one of the biggest recent controversies in Spanish rap. The song (a direct, confrontational track full of personal reproaches) has gone viral in a matter of hours and has revived a debate that had been dormant for months: that of the accusations that have dogged the Granada rapper since the end of 2024.
Costa structures the song as a kind of venting accumulated over the years, a settling of scores in which he recovers situations that, according to him, he had kept silent. The lyrics come in a particularly inflamed context and inevitably raise a question: what is true in everything mentioned in the song?
The accusations in the letter: a crude and unfiltered inventory
In‘TE AVISÉ’, Fernando Costa exposes a series of episodes that, as he states in the song itself, would be part of his former friend’s past. The phrase that has most shocked public opinion is explicit and forceful: “You paid for that girl to withdraw her complaint from the court”.
The seriousness of this statement has intensified the controversy and sparked a debate about the limits of beef, the artist’s responsibility and the fine line between personal storytelling and veiled denunciation.
In the lyrics, Costa also talks about emotional manipulation, controlling behaviors, substance problems, conflicts with partners and toxic behaviors within Ayax’s immediate environment. There are no metaphors: the exposition is direct, harsh and completely personalistic.
This forcefulness has surprised even the most veteran followers of both artists, accustomed to harsh lyrics, but not to such concrete statements about third parties in a real conflict.
The connection with previous testimonies: when the song does not appear in isolation
The repercussion of‘TE AVISÉ’ cannot be understood without remembering that Ayax and Prok closed 2024 surrounded by more than sixty anonymous testimonies spread on social networks. In those publications, initially shared from the account @denunciasgranada and later collected by media such as RTVE, ElDiario.es, Público or Los40, alleged episodes of abuse, sexual aggression, emotional control, chemical submission and violent behavior were recounted.
The impact was immediate. The representation agency broke its relationship with them, several concerts (among them a WiZink Center) were cancelled and the media pressure skyrocketed. The matter ceased to be an isolated controversy to become a phenomenon that occupied the public conversation for weeks.
In this context, Fernando Costa’s song does not appear as an independent episode, but as one more piece within an already heated climate. Although the lyrics do not literally replicate previous testimonies, many of its references are in dialogue with the same type of accusations that circulated months before.
They are not the same stories, but they do belong to the same universe. And that connection explains much of the earthquake that has shaken the urban scene once again with the release of TE AVISÉ.
The judicial situation: what has been proven and what has not been proven
Despite the magnitude of the public accusations, the judicial situation is very different. While the controversy grows in networks and in the urban scene, the courts do not reflect anything that has been said so far.
Ayax has denied all accusations. During the wave of testimonies, he published a video in which he stated:
To date, there is no record of any open case against him for abuse, sexual assault or violence. Nor are there any judicial documents that prove the existence of a criminal investigation in progress, or orders, or proceedings, or procedures that support the testimonies that circulated in networks. The distance between what was published in the digital conversation and what appears in the courts is absolute.
What does exist, and what is relevant to understand the whole picture, is a proceeding initiated by Ayax himself against journalist Cristina Fallarás. He accuses her of disseminating testimonies that, according to him, are false and seriously damage his honor. In this case, it is the rapper who has filed the complaint, not the other way around.
