The Magician Pop has given this Wednesday one of the biggest blows on the table of his entire career. In a massive event held at his Victoria Theater in Barcelona, the illusionist announced that he is preparing the first world tour of magic in stadiums, an unprecedented milestone in his discipline. The project will begin in 2027 and will have as its first stop the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
For now, no further details can be revealed: neither the list of cities nor the structure of the show, as the official announcement will be made simultaneously with the stadium itself in the coming weeks. But the magnitude of the project promises to mark a before and after in international stage magic.
A star-studded event for a landmark announcement
The day began with a presentation by Álex González, Jessica Goicoechea and Aaron Paul, who, in Spanish, Catalan and English, described the day as “key to the future of show business”. The event continued with a review of the five years of the Victoria Theater under the direction of Mago Pop.
They were joined on stage by Darko Peric (Helsinki in La casa de papel), Martina Klein and Leonor Watling, who were in charge of announcing other important news: the return of the musical Mar i cel to the Victoria theater, a historic title in Catalonia.
Shortly afterwards, Jon Kortajarena and Paz Vega presented the creation of new awards for the entertainment industry, the Broadway World European Awards, which will be presented in Barcelona.
A parade of international faces and the endorsement of Andrew Lloyd-Webber
The appearances continued with figures such as Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, Billy Zane and Mira Sorvino, who gave way to a video of the prestigious composer Andrew Lloyd-Webber, author of pieces such as Friends Forever, expressing his admiration for the Pop Wizard.
The first magical moment of the day came not from the illusionist, but from Amaia Romero, who performed two songs on the piano before the main part of the event began.

Afterwards, David Henrie and Michelle Rodriguez set the stage for the “two most important news” of the day. Among them, the revelation that, although the Wizard Pop has received offers from London’s West End and Broadway, he will remain focused on his city: “he is in love with his city, with Barcelona”, they stressed.
An exclusive show in Barcelona as a prelude to the big tour
The first big news was that the show Nada es imposible will now be performed exclusively in Barcelona and only three months a year. A special video, starring Christopher Lloyd and Antonio Díaz himself in homage to Back to the Future, presented this new stage of the show.
The entrance of Mago Pop to the stage came, as it could not be otherwise, “appearing out of nowhere” on a platform in the audience, presented by Helen Hunt and accompanied by a message from Cayetana Guillén Cuervo, president of the Academy of Performing Arts.
In his speech, the illusionist vindicated the power of theater and the performing arts: “To achieve extraordinary things you have to invent new paths, find beaches without footprints,” he said. He also spoke about the difficulty of doing magic within the cultural sector: “Only by riding these chickens can we get them to pay attention to us,” he said to applause.
The big announcement: a world stadium magic tour
The highlight came in his own words: “I thought I had done the best show I could do, I could hardly do better,” he confessed. He had succeeded in creating what he described as “The Lion King of Magic,” a crossover show for the whole family.
But the idea of going further came from someone unexpected: José Ramón de la Morena, who proposed to him to create something on a larger scale and put him in contact with Florentino Pérez. And so was born the project that will see the light of day in 2027: a world tour of magic in stadiums whose first stop will be the Santiago Bernabéu.
An unprecedented leap in the history of magic
Mago Pop’s decision to take his show to stadiums is an unprecedented artistic, technical and logistical challenge. Bringing magic traditionally designed for intimate spaces to venues with a capacity for tens of thousands of people implies rethinking the genre from scratch.
This ambition, coupled with the international success of the illusionist, makes the tour one of the most exciting projects on the world cultural scene.
With this announcement, Mago Pop prepares to begin a completely new stage in his career, betting on innovation and reaffirming himself as one of the most influential names in show business in Spain and beyond.
