The 2026 editions of the 5K and 10K Ibiza-Platja d’en Bossa have reached maximum capacity, confirming the enormous sporting growth that the island is experiencing. In just a few years, both races have become outstanding references of Ibizan running and, for the second consecutive year, they have sold out all the registrations.
The 5K will be the first to be held on January 11, 2026, with more than 500 runners who will run through the streets of Sant Josep in a fast and accessible race for all levels. A month later, on February 15, it will be the turn of the 10K, which will bring together some 1,500 participants and consolidates itself as one of the most important races on the national calendar.
The 2026 edition will also have a special character: the 10K will be held jointly with the Spanish 10K Road Championships, both in absolute and veteran categories, placing Sant Josep in the center of Spanish athletics during the whole weekend.
The course, known for its beauty and dynamism, combines stretches of coast and nature crossing the Natural Park of Ses Salines and the tourist area of Platja d’en Bossa. The race maintains elite marks with the records still in force of the Kenyan Benson Kiplangat (27:18) and the Kenyan Miriam Chebet (30:40), which strengthen its reputation as one of the fastest 10K in Spain and Europe.

The race also has the seal of tourist interest of the Consell d’Eivissa and the support of the Ajuntament de Sant Josep, reinforcing the international projection of Ibiza and its link with sport and sustainable tourism. Although the bibs are sold out, the organization will enable a waiting list through the official website www.10kibiza.com, so that runners without a place have the opportunity to participate in case of casualties.
With two complete races and a dedicated sports community, the 2026 editions of the 5K and 10K Ibiza-Platja d’en Bossa promise two unforgettable weekends, where competition, scenery and atmosphere will combine to offer a unique experience to both federated runners and amateurs.
