The mayor of Sant Antoni de Portmany, Marcos Serra, and the Councillor for Tourism, Development of the Local Economy and Festivities, Miguel Tur, presented this morning the program of activities for the Christmas Festivities 2025. The celebrations will start this Friday with the lighting of the Christmas lights and the official opening of the Mercat de Nadal, an event that this year comes with new features and a clear family vocation.
During the presentation, Serra stressed that the festivities are “synonymous with participation and family fun”, while Tur remarked that the program is “open, varied and especially designed for family audiences”, with new musical proposals and a reinforcement of local culture.
Lighting of the lights, Christmas Market and family spaces.
The official start will be this Friday 28 at 18.30 hours in the Passeig de ses Fonts. The lighting of the lights and the Christmas tree will be accompanied by a carol recital performed by students of the municipality. Then, the Mercat de Nadal, the Space of the Playful Elves and the Tree of Good Wishes, which will form the heart of the Christmas circuit, will be inaugurated.
The little ones will have a leading role: in the Playful Elves Space they will be able to enjoy traditional games, craft workshops, storytelling and themed shows. Meanwhile, the Tree of Good Wishes will offer a corner to hang messages for 2026, take pictures in the photocall of the Cierva Blanca and participate in a carol karaoke.
The Mercat de Nadal is once again the centerpiece of the celebrations, with stalls of restaurants, crafts and stores around the fountains. This year incorporates an intense musical calendar with groups such as The Rosemary Family, Antena Libre, Swingin Tónic Band, Soul Doctor, Ibosim Flamenco, Joven Dolores, Sofía Martin, Reya Thomas & Friends or Esta me la sé, as well as theme parties organized by La Verbenita, K Rico Party, La Movida and Hippi House.

Culture, tradition and proposals for all ages
In addition to the market, the program incorporates a large cultural block. The
Tradition will also play a central role. On December 13 a living nativity scene will be staged on the porch of the church, and on December 14 the municipal nativity scene of the nativity scene designer Jesús González will be inaugurated, located this year in Santa Agnès street, 4. On December 18, the festival of the Elderly in the Clot Marès and the Xacota de Nadal in the passeig de ses Fonts will bring together peasant dancing, traditional games and fritters.
The program is completed with activities for young people in the Espai Jove, which will include workshops, anime days and a gymkhana, as well as a virtual reality activity this Friday in Es Molí d’en Simó. The solidarity aspect is reflected in events such as the Papanoelada Motera Solidaria ( December 21), the festival Por la sonrisa de un niño ( December 13) and the New Moves dance workshop, whose proceeds will go to Ibiza In and the Asociación Española del Cáncer Meta Metastático.
In the sports section, PatiNadal, the skating outing on December 20, and the Fibwi Illes Balears Trophy of grassroots soccer stand out.
New Year’s Eve, Three Wise Men and closing of the holidays
The program will culminate with the end of the year celebrations and the arrival of the Kings. On December 31, the New Year’s Eve Party Connexion Tòquio – Market will animate the Passeig de ses Fonts from 13 hours. Already in January, on January 4 will open the Caseta Real, where families can deliver their letters to the page. The parade of the Three Kings will tour Sant Antoni on January 5 at 6.30 pm, and the last Christmas concert, by the group Flawless, will put the finishing touch on January 6.
