On the occasion of the Christmas holidays, the Department of Economic Promotion, Municipal Cooperation and Human Resources of the Consell d’Eivissa has launched a new campaign to promote the crafts of Eivissa with the aim of encouraging Christmas purchases of products made on the island. Under the slogan ‘Give crafts, give Eivissa’, the initiative seeks to strengthen the consumption of proximity and highlight the cultural and economic value of local artisan pieces.
The campaign is aimed especially at the resident population, although it also aims to capture the attention of visitors who spend the holidays on the island, inviting them to discover and give unique products, with their own identity and deeply linked to the Ibizan tradition.
Local craftsmanship with a seal of authenticity
The initiative emphasizes the purchase of handmade pieces made in Ibiza and that have the seal of “authenticity”, a distinctive granted by the Consell d’Eivissa that guarantees that the product has been made in an artisanal way and on the island. Currently, about 200 artisans have the document of artisan qualification, which is a differentiating element compared to other products and a guarantee for both residents and occasional consumers.
The complete list of these artisans can be consulted on the official website artesania.conselldeivissa.eswhere detailed information is provided on the crafts, products and creators that are part of the island’s artisan fabric.

A campaign that connects with Eivissa’s essence
The councilor for Economic Promotion, Municipal Cooperation and Human Resources, Maria Fajarnés, explained that this Christmas campaign seeks to connect with the traditions and essence of Ibiza through messages and drawings that reflect the most authentic day to day life of the island. Among the slogans used are phrases such as ‘celebrating with Salsa de Nadal’, ‘for Christmas a new shawl’, ‘let’s toast with herbs for Christmas’ or ‘there is nothing like the huevos payés’, which evoke deep-rooted customs easily recognizable by the citizens.
The dissemination of the campaign is done through radio spots, print media and social networks, with the aim of reaching a wide audience and strengthen the visibility of local crafts at a key time for trade.
Boosting the local economy and local commerce
Fajarnés stressed that the main purpose of this action is to encourage the purchase of “magnificent creations of proximity”, betting on consumption on the island as a way to strengthen the local economy. In this sense, he remarked that the campaign reaffirms the commitment of the Consell d’Eivissa with the development of crafts and the implementation of initiatives that contribute to boost the island’s economic activity.
Thus, ‘Give crafts, give Eivissa’ is presented as an invitation to choose gifts with history, identity and added value, while supporting the craft sector and preserving a fundamental part of the cultural heritage of the island during a particularly significant dates.
