The Consell Insular de Formentera has presented a new edition of Illa a Escena, the cultural program that will once again turn the Sala de Cultura (Cinema) into a meeting point for the performing arts and music between January and March 2026.
Overall, the series brings together family theater, popular music and concerts, with an offer designed for both the resident public and for those who visit the island during the low season.
Family theater for all audiences
To open the calendar, the program will start on Saturday, January 17 with ‘Siguis tortuga’, by the company Xip Xap Teatre. This family show, recommended for ages 4 and up, proposes a reflection on the importance of living without haste and enjoy the road, all from humor and tenderness. The show will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will last approximately 50 minutes.
In the same line, family theater will continue on Saturday, February 21 with ‘Sòmion, la ciutat dels oficis impossibles’, by the company El que ma queda de teatre. Aimed at audiences from 3 years old, the play bets on imagination and creativity through a story full of values. The show will start at 18.00 hours.

Traditional music and unique stage proposals
For its part, on Saturday, February 7, at 7 p.m., the Sala de Cultura will host the VII Cantada Pagesa, organized by the area of Traditional Music of the School of Music and Dance of Formentera. With free admission and an approximate duration of 120 minutes, this event highlights the musical heritage of the island and keeps alive the popular tradition.
Later, on Saturday, March 7, will come ‘aLUZina’, by Nacho Diago, a show designed for the whole family that combines magic, shadow theater, humor and visual poetry. The proposal invites to recover the ability to surprise and look at the world with curious eyes, will last approximately 60 minutes, is recommended from 6 years and will begin at 18.00 hours.
Carmen Consoli closes the cycle ‘Illa a Escena 2026’.
To close the cycle, the program will come to an end on Saturday, March 14 with the concert of Carmen Consoli, included in the Barnasants cycle. The artist will offer, from 8.30 pm, a 75-minute recital, in one of the most important events of the cultural winter in Formentera.
Tickets are generally priced at 5 euros for the theatrical performances and 8 euros for the concert, with a 50% discount for established groups. Seating is limited and tickets can be purchased at www.entradesformentera.cat from the Friday before each show.
