The Cursa de s’Indiotone of the most emblematic cycling competitions of the Pitiusan sports calendar, will return to the streets of Eivissa on Sunday December 14 and will do so with a remarkable success of participation: more than 210 people have already registered between adult and children categories.
The announcement was made this Thursday in the presence of the Councilor of Presidency, Finance, Economic Management and Sports, Salvador Losa; the councilor of Tourism of the Eivissa Town Hall, Ruben Sousa; the island director of Esports, Javier Bonet; and the head of the company Blue Challenge, Juanjo Serra.
A “historic” event with more than four decades of tradition
During the presentation, Salvador Losa recalled that the race is organized “one hundred percent by the Consell Insular”, and stressed that once again has the collaboration of the City Council of Eivissa because the circuit “crosses its main streets and allows you to enjoy its beautiful heritage”.
Losa also highlighted the “historic” nature of the competition, with more than 40 editions, which makes it one of the “most appreciated and awaited by fans” cyclosportive events.
For his part, the councilman of Tourism, Ruben Sousa, noted that this is “a very deeply rooted event in our capital” and that is part of the festive and sports calendar “for decades”. Sousa reaffirmed the commitment of the City Council with the race and encouraged citizens “to enjoy this new edition, either by participating or living it from the street”.
The head of Blue Challenge, Juanjo Serra, thanked the trust of the institutions that allow the event to go ahead, as well as the work of volunteers and the local police, who will ensure at all times “to make it a success”.

An urban circuit of nine laps and almost five kilometers long.
La Cursa de s’Indiot will be held between 9.30 a.m. and 12.00 a.m. in a circular route of nine laps and almost five kilometers, starting and finishing at Campanitx street, in front of the Can Misses stadium.
Competition modalities:

Competitive race – 9.30 a.m. Up to 175 places. Approximate distance: 42 km. Aimed at people from 15 years of age, with a joint start for women and men. Female and male categories: junior, elite sub-23, master 30, master 40, master 50 and master 60-70.

Cursa Mini – 11.10 a.m. Record participation with more than 50 cyclists registered. Up to 75 places. Distance:
between 1 and 5 km . Aimed at children under 15 years old and people with reduced mobility or special needs.
