The Vara de Rey marquee will once again become the epicenter of the New Year’s Eve celebration in Ibiza with a big New Year’s Eve Party organized by the Ibiza Town Hall, which this 2025 bets on the music and festive atmosphere of La Movida, the well-known retro project of DJs Petit and Vázquez.
The event will take place on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 10:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., with free access and designed so that residents and visitors can say goodbye to the year in the heart of the city.
Live chimes and celebration in the street
As is tradition, the City Council will distribute cotillion and grapes among all the people who come to Vara de Rey to celebrate New Year’s Eve. In addition, at 23:55 hours will be connected live with television to follow the chimes in real time, allowing the public to live the change of year in a collective and festive way.
This proposal seeks to reinforce the open and popular character of New Year’s Eve in Ibiza, encouraging people to enjoy the last moment of the year in the street, in a safe environment and with a family and festive atmosphere.
La Movida with DJs Petit and Vázquez and guest artists
The soundtrack of the night will be provided by La Movida, the successful retro party of DJs Petit and Vázquez, regulars at major festive events on the island. Along with them, the stage will feature special performances as Lugotti Sax and Mikel Marí, from Morning Drivers, who will bring live music and a plus of spectacle to the night.
The event will also include constant entertainment thanks to the Lab Show group, which will display its performances, and the Movida Dancers Team, in charge of adding rhythm and color to the dance floor.

Beyond the music, the New Year’s Eve Party in Vara de Rey will offer dance groups, animation, choreographies, performances, gifts and numerous surprises, designed to keep the energy going until well into the early hours of the morning.
With free admission and a varied program, the event is consolidated as one of the main proposals to say goodbye to the year in Ibiza, both for residents and for those who choose the island as a Christmas destination.
