The City Council of Sant Antoni de Portmany has presented the official program of the Patron Saint Festival of Sant Antoni 2026, which will take place between January 9 and February 17, consolidating as one of the major axes of the social and cultural life of the municipality during the winter.
For more than a month, the municipality will host dozens of activities aimed at all audiences and ages, combining tradition, culture, music, sports and gastronomy.
The presentation was led by the mayor of Sant Antoni de Portmany, Marcos Serra, and the Councillor for Education, Culture and Heritage, Eva Prats, who stressed the inclusive and participatory nature of a program designed for both the local population and for those visiting the island in low season.
Super Flower and urban culture
The celebrations will kick off on Friday, January 9 with children’s activities in the Passeig de ses Fonts, followed by an afternoon dedicated to urban culture with the Sananfresh Hiphop Party and a new session of the Zinètic film series.
One of the most anticipated moments will come on Saturday, January 10, with the celebration of the Super Flower, which will fill the Passeig de ses Fonts with hippy atmosphere, market, shows and music throughout the day. The day will also include the Mini Flower, designed for children, as well as DJ sessions until the evening.
That same weekend will be held the FlowerFreak in the Espai Jove, while on Sunday January 11 will take place the Festival del balls, música i cançó popular, which reaches its 43rd edition.
The day of Sant Antoni, epicenter of tradition
The most traditional events will be concentrated around the day of Sant Antoni, on January 17. The day will include the solemn mass and procession, the blessing of animals, the exhibition of ball pagès and the popular tasting of fritters and local wine.
In addition, there will be a children’s fair, various sports activities and the musical event El Paripé Tardeo, which will close the holiday at the market Passeig de ses Fonts.
As a prelude, on Friday, January 16 will be held the festival of Sant Antoni, with concerts by the flamenco group Soniquete ( 19 h) and the Ibizan group Esta me la sé ( 21 h), both in the Passeig de ses Fonts.
A diverse cultural program with novelties
The cultural offer will have a prominent role throughout the festivities, with exhibitions, literary presentations, theater, concerts and screenings of the Zinètic program at the Cine Regio.
Among the main novelties, Councilwoman Eva Prats highlighted the exhibition of the Cançoner de les Pitiusas, a traveling project promoted by the Institut d’Estudis Eivissencs and the Obra Cultural Balear. ” The exhibition includes audio guides, old photographs and audiovisual material, a very interesting proposal to keep alive our roots and our music,” said Prats.
The cultural program also includes the presentation of the book El lenguaje de las ondas, by Ramón Mayol (January 22), the theatrical performance ** Jutjats de Pau, judicis pendents, by Grup de Teatre des Molí (February 1)**, and the cycle Ones de Llum (January 24), which combines classical music concerts and visual projections.
Gastronomy and sports as major attractions
In the gastronomic field, the Concurs Mundial Júnior d’Arròs de Matances and the XIII Campionat Mundial d’Arròs de Matances stand out, one of the most awaited events on the island, which will be held on Saturday, February 7 and will bring together culinary tradition, festive atmosphere and a high level of participation.
Sport will also play an important role with competitions in mountain biking, karate, judo, petanque and popular marches, as well as the presentation of the Premis de l’Esport de Sant Antoni de Portmany 2025, scheduled for January 31 at the Cine Regio.
Solidarity, environment and popular events
The program is completed with numerous social and participatory activities, such as the Festival Solidari to benefit ASPANOB (January 18), the musical Paella (January 25), the walk ‘Anem de lluna i mirem-nos sa flor’ (January 30), the XXII Deep cleaning of the bay of Portmany (February 1), the Sant Antoni Rural and the lunch tribute to the elderly (February 8), as well as the XVII Day of cleaning in sa Talaia (February 15).
The Fiestas Patronales de Sant Antoni 2026 will conclude with the Carnival of Portmany, putting the finishing touch to more than a month of celebrations.
