The Christmas spirit is about to invade Sant Joan de Labritja. Next Friday, November 28, the municipality will celebrate its traditional lighting of lights, an event that officially marks the beginning of Christmas and that this year will be held at the Camp d’Aprenentatge de Sant Vicent de sa Cala.
Neighbors and visitors are invited to enjoy an afternoon full of music, activities and magic for the whole family.
A start full of illusion
The day will start at 18:00 hours with the arrival of Ximpum and na Fosca, two characters very dear to the little ones, who will be responsible for welcoming attendees and encourage the first moments of the celebration.
Only fifteen minutes later, at 18:15 hours, will proceed to the official lighting of the Christmas lights, a special moment that will illuminate streets, squares and emblematic corners of the municipality, enveloping them in the festive atmosphere typical of these dates.
Christmas carols and live music
From 6:30 pm, the students of CEIP Torres de Balàfia, CEIP Labritja and CEIP Balansat will star in an emotional performance of Christmas carols that will fill the space with the most authentic essence of Christmas.
The music will continue with a concert by the group Groove Garage, which will bring energy and good rhythm to this special evening.
Activities and celebration to share with the family
Throughout the afternoon, the Camp d’Aprenentatge will become a festive meeting point with proposals designed for all ages. On the other hand, the little ones will be able to participate in Christmas-themed children’s workshops, enjoy a delicious xocolatada with traditional sweets, take pictures in a photo booth and visit the charming fameliar de Nadal stand, one of the most magical corners of the day.
The City Council of Sant Joan de Labritja invites all citizens to join this event, designed to share with the family and welcome the holidays that fill every corner of the municipality with light, music and joy. With this celebration, Sant Joan de Labritja officially opens the Christmas season, encouraging both residents and tourists to enjoy an unforgettable evening.
