The City Council of San José de Sa Talaia has announced the temporary suspension of the film and exhibition program at the Centro de Cultura Can Jeroni due to technical issues that prevent the normal development of the planned activities.
The measure affects both film screenings and artistic exhibitions that are usually held in this space, considered a cultural reference of the municipality and a meeting point for residents and visitors.
The municipality is working on the resumption of activities
The consistory assures that the necessary steps are already being taken to solve the incidents and resume the cultural agenda as soon as possible. The objective is to recover as soon as possible the varied programming that characterizes Can Jeroni, with proposals ranging from auteur cinema and contemporary art exhibitions to concerts and theatrical performances.
The San José City Council would like to thank the neighbors and visitors for their understanding of this temporary interruption and encourages them to follow the official channels for news and reopening dates.
The institution thus reaffirms its commitment to local culture and the continuity of a space that has established itself as one of the main cultural engines of Sant Josep and the island.
An emblematic space in Sant Josep
Located in the urban center of Sant Josep, the Centre de Cultura Can Jeroni was inaugurated in 2016 after a comprehensive reform that turned it into a multifunctional space. It has an auditorium with capacity for 165 people, equipped with audiovisual technology for projections, concerts and theater, and an exhibition hall on two floors where pictorial, sculptural and photographic works are displayed.
This center is one of the pillars of the cultural life of the municipality, with a varied and free program that can be consulted through the official channels of the City of San José.
