Sant Llorenç de Balàfia again become a key meeting point for the primary sector with the celebration of the IV Organic Agriculture Fair of Ibiza and Formentera. Organized by APAEEF, and with the collaboration of the City Council of Sant Joan de Labritja, the event will occupy the surroundings of the church, where from 10:30 am will open the traditional stalls of local producers.
Workshops, micro-talks and local gastronomy
Starting at 11:00 a.m., the fair will offer a wide variety of workshops for all ages, from children’s activities to sessions focused on music and emotions, health education and seasonal cooking.
The micro-talks, scheduled from 11:30 am, will address key issues for the future of the Pitiusas countryside. Among them, topics such as
The festive atmosphere will continue with the popular ecological paella -vegetarian or with chicken- served at 14:00 hours, followed by the musical performance of “Pep Còsmic i els Verros de Balàfia” at 15:00 hours, which will liven up the afternoon with a repertoire of local roots.
Charity raffle and closing of the fair
One of the most anticipated moments will be the solidarity raffle of organic lots donated by farmers on the island, which will take place at 16:30 hours. The day will close at 18:00 hours, putting an end to a day dedicated to strengthening the bond of the community with its territory.
The fair is established as an opportunity to learn about the work of organic producers, promote responsible consumption and enjoy an authentic rural environment that celebrates the identity of the Pitiusas.
