The church of Sant Rafel will be the setting for the next event of the cycle Ones de llum, an initiative that unites music, heritage and visual arts. The concert will take place on Saturday, November 22 at 8.30 pm, coinciding with the feast of St. Cecilia, patron saint of music.
The event, organized by the Department of Culture of the City Council of Sant Antoni de Portmany and produced by Eivissa Escènica, proposes an immersive experience designed to thrill both residents and visitors.
Music and visual arts on the same stage
The event will bring together on stage Llorenç Prats (piano), Joan Carles Marí (percussion) and Carlos Vesperinas (cello), accompanied by the voice of Raquel Ortiz. Together they will perform a carefully selected repertoire that covers different periods of musical creation.
The public will be able to listen to works by great composers such as Saint-Saëns, Piazzolla, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky or Chopin, together with contemporary pieces by Ólafur Arnalds and Hania Rani, known for their enveloping soundscapes. The musical selection aims to offer a journey full of contrasts and emotions.
As usual in the series, the visual artist Jesús de las Heras will accompany the performance with a video mapping specifically designed for the architecture of the church, transforming the space into a luminous canvas that enhances the musical experience.
Free tickets and a cycle that promotes local culture
The concert will be free until full capacity is reached. Tickets will be reserved through a mixed system:
-
50% of the places can be requested online through the form available in the City Hall channels.
-
The other 50% will be assigned in person, one hour before the beginning of the concert, at the church.
Online registration will be open from Monday, November 17 at 9:00 a.m. until Thursday, November 20 at 12:00 noon.
The cycle Ones de llum seeks to value local talent, to deseasonalize the cultural offer and to activate innovative artistic proposals that connect music, heritage and visual impact. The Sant Rafel event promises to be one of the highlights of this edition due to its coincidence with the day of Santa Cecilia.
