The Municipal School of Music of Santa Eulària celebrates its 25th anniversary with a very special event that will bring together students, teachers and neighbors this Saturday, November 15, at 6:30 pm, at the Palacio de Congresos de Ibiza. The gala, framed within the traditional concert of Santa Cecilia, will be the central act of a year full of commemorative activities that have toured the most emblematic cultural spaces of the municipality.

The show will be divided into two blocks. In the first part will perform the Youth Band of Santa Eulària, composed of 30 young performers directed by Quico Martínez Florencio, who will interpret Mystic Legend by Anne McGinty, Colors of the Wind by Alan Menken (with arrangements by John Higgins) and El barberillo de Lavapiés by Francisco A. Barbieri, adapted by Martínez himself.
The second part will feature the Municipal Band of Santa Eulària, under the direction of maestro Frank J. Cogollos Martínez, with the participation of its 85 members. The repertoire will include the pieces

However, the most emblematic moment of the year took place last September 13, when the Municipal Band paraded in Disneyland Paris in front of 25,000 people. During their passage through the park’s castle, they performed for the first time the pasodoble Santa Eulària des Riu, in a historic performance that promoted the municipality as a cultural and family destination.
The parade was possible after overcoming a demanding selection process and was a recognition of the work of teachers, musicians and staff of the Municipal School, which over the past 25 years have consolidated the institution as one of the most active cultural pillars of the island.
