The end of December is one of the most pleasant times to explore Ibiza on foot. With the tourist season behind us and mild temperatures, the island recovers a leisurely pace that invites you to enjoy the natural environment without crowds. Walking thus becomes a simple alternative to share family time and rediscover landscapes that, in winter, are more open and silent.
Far from the most demanding hiking routes, these walks stand out for their accessibility and for offering a balanced combination of nature, sea and heritage, adapting to different paces and ages.
Platja d’en Bossa: from the urban promenade to the quietest coastline
The southern end of Platja d’en Bossa offers a simple route that connects the urban area with the coastal environment. From the vicinity of the hotels, the promenade runs along sandy paths and wooden walkways that border the beach, allowing you to walk along the sea without straying far from the services.
This is a particularly comfortable option for families with small children or for those looking for a short, uncomplicated walk. In the last days of December, when the activity decreases notably, this stretch of coastline recovers its calmest facet.

Ses Salines: dunes, pinewoods and a tower facing the sea
Nearby, but with a clearly different landscape, the surroundings of the beach of Ses Salines offers a fully natural walk. The trail starts from the parking lot, free in low season, and enters the Parc Natural de Ses Salines between dunes and pine forests, with the sea accompanying much of the route.
The path leads to the tower of Ses Portes, an 18th century defensive construction located in front of the channel that separates Ibiza and Formentera. It is a flat and wide itinerary, also suitable for bicycles, which allows you to enjoy the silence of the natural park and clear views on clear winter days.

Cala Llonga: walking by the sea without haste
The bay of Cala Llonga offers a simple and pleasant walk, ideal for those who prefer a sheltered environment. From the beach, a pedestrian path goes into the pine forest and allows you to walk along part of the coastline, with open views of the sea and sections protected from the wind.
It is an accessible route, without significant slopes, which can be easily adapted according to the time available. The proximity to the urban area makes it a practical alternative for a quiet family walk.

Santa Agnès: rural roads in Pla de Corona
In the interior of the island, the surroundings of Santa Agnès de Corona offer a change of scenery. The rural roads of Pla de Corona run between fields, stone walls and old farms, offering a quiet and little-traveled stamp.
They are flat routes, suitable for walking with the family and enjoy the silence of the Ibizan countryside. In winter, the absence of activity and the open landscape reinforce the feeling of tranquility, far from the coast and the tourist centers.

Cala de Sant Vicent: towards the abandoned lighthouse of Punta Grossa
For those looking for a more intense experience, the route from Cala de Sant Vicent to Punta Grossa allows you to discover one of the wildest stretches of coastline in Ibiza. The trail crosses pine forest areas and advances along cliffs, with continuous views of the Mediterranean.
Although it is not very steep, it does include narrow and exposed sections, so it is not recommended for small children or people with reduced mobility. The route ends at the abandoned lighthouse of Punta Grossa, a 19th century construction located in an isolated enclave, especially attractive on calm winter days. It is advisable to bring water, good footwear and avoid walking on windy days.

Walking through these environments in the last days of December allows you to discover a closer and quieter Ibiza, where the landscape sets the pace and offers a different way to close the year with the family.
