The Vuelta a Ibiza MTB Siroko by Shimano celebrates a quarter of a century and celebrates in style. Next November 14 at 09:00 am registrations will open, available exclusively through the official website of the event. The 2026 edition, to be held on April 2, 3, 4 and 5, promises to be the most special in its history, with new stages, renewed experiences and a tribute to the thousands of cyclists who have contributed to build its legend.
25 years of history, passion and friendship on two wheels
Since Bartolo Planells promoted the first edition with a group of friends, the Vuelta a Ibiza MTB has become an essential event in the international calendar. Today, under the direction of his brother Juanjo Planells, the event retains its family essence and the spirit that has made it unique: to show the most authentic Ibiza on the bike. “We fulfilled a dream that began almost without imagining how far it would go,” explains Juanjo Planells. “My brother started it with the illusion of touring the island on the bike. Today, 25 years later, we continue with that same passion, but with a huge community behind us. This anniversary will be a tribute to all of them”.

Three renewed stages and an experience that transcends the competition
The Vuelta a Ibiza MTB 2026 will have three completely renovated stages, improved services and parallel activities for companions. All without losing the hallmark that distinguishes it: companionship, coexistence and the magic of pedaling through a unique island.
Throughout its history, the race has brought together big names in international cycling and thousands of fans who live the experience as something more than a race. “You don’t count, you live it,” summarizes Planells. “They are routes that mark you, a family atmosphere and a hospitality that is part of the DNA of the Vuelta.”
Limited inscriptions for an unforgettable edition
With only 1,000 bibs available, the organization expects a high demand. Therefore, it invites cyclists to be attentive on November 14 at 09:00 hours to ensure a place. The race maintains its format in pairs, with routes that combine technical trails, fast tracks and coastal and inland landscapes.
In addition to the sporting challenge, it offers an integral experience, with careful logistics and shared moments that transcend the classification. “We know that this edition will be very special,” adds Planells. “We want each participant to feel that they are part of the history of the Vuelta.”
