The new edition of the cycle “In autumn, Sant Jordi” will bring together children, parents and neighbors around a cultural program designed to enjoy together. Organized by Ses Barsetes in collaboration with the City Council of Sant Josep, the cycle will offer free activities every Saturday in November at 18:00 pm, in the auditorium of the CEIP Sant Jordi.
The Councillor for Culture, Maria José Ríos, stressed “the enormous work done by Ses Barsetes to bring culture to the little ones and energize the social life of the town”. For his part, the coordinator of Culture, Bartomeu Tur, stressed that “supporting initiatives that strengthen the role of local associations and promote family activities is a key objective of the City Council”. In addition, Tanit Ribas, member of Ses Barsetes, recalled that “this cycle was born in 2015 with the idea of offering cultural proposals during the winter and today is an expected appointment for the families of Sant Jordi”.
A program that combines art, music and creativity
The cycle will start on November 8 with the show “Rosa Rodamon and the creatures of the night”, by the company Anakrònica. It is a session of mysterious stories and “terrifying” songs, ideal for children from 6 years old and up, with a duration of 60 minutes.
On November 15, “Laboratorio mágico. Cuidando el planeta Tierra”, by the company Mandarina, a fun and educational play that seeks to raise awareness about environmental care for children between 4 and 12 years old.
On November 22, artist Lola Hidalgo will lead a painting workshop in Catalan for children over 6 years old. Places will be limited and prior registration is required by mail to sesbarsetes@gmail.com.
The cycle will close on November 29 with the puppet show “Circumloqui”, by the company Peus de Porc. A proposal without text, full of humor, live music and small homemade engineering, designed for all audiences.
Culture accessible to all
All the activities of the cycle are free until full capacity, reaffirming the commitment of Ses Barsetes and the City Council of Sant Josep with an inclusive culture open to the whole community.
With this new edition of “In autumn, Sant Jordi”, Sant Josep reinforces its commitment to a cultural agenda of proximity, where creativity, education and family coexistence become the protagonists of autumn.
